Their journey began as classmates at the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA, where shared dedication to music forged a lasting connection. Years later, fate brought them together again—Victoria’s return to Charlotte, North Carolina, sparked a reunion that led Yixuan to join her, giving birth to their professional duo.

In 2024, Vifa Duo launched Music for Tomorrow, a concert series designed to bring the exhilaration and intimacy of chamber music to the Charlotte community. Each performance is a celebration of music’s power to inspire, uplift, and connect audiences. However, Vifa Duo’s mission extends beyond the concert hall. Committed to cultivating the next generation of musicians, they offer lecture-performances and mentorship to students across North and South Carolina, sharing their artistry, insight, and passion for music.
